It has been so much fun diving into my class project that I am conducting on San Diego based bloggers and influencers. Being passionate about the world of fashion, makeup, beauty, and anything lifestyle has made this assignment feel so natural to me. While reaching out to potential sources via Instagram, I have been able to connect with a few of them. So far, I have four interviews set up for the next couple of weeks. Those sources range from small to large followings on Instagram, which is something that I purposely chose to do to compare their analytics. So far the sources that have confirmed interviews with me are Kasey Moore (@kaseytrione), who has over one hundred thousand followers, Karol Martin (@karol_priscilla), who has 60 thousand followers, Brianna Duggan (@bricolling), who has forty thousand followers, and Kaptan Kaster (@kaptankaster), with eighteen thousand followers.
I wanted to make sure that I chose a variety of San Diego bloggers and influencers who each have a unique style, and are different to one another. I also wanted to make sure I incorporated both male and female sources when conducting my interviews. The process of finding sources hasn’t been easy, but hasn’t been too difficult either. For the most part, the bloggers/influencers that I have reached out to on Instagram have been very cooperative and willing to meet with me. Some were even very excited about my idea! But, I also did have a few that either did not answer at all, or answered by saying they do not want to be involved in my project or they do not have time in their schedules. I have prepared a list of questions to ask at each of my interviews. Some questions are the same for all of my sources, and some questions are unique to each of their brands. I look forward to meeting with my sources in the upcoming weeks, and I definitely can’t wait to update you all on my process!
