Welcome to News by Emilyn

Hello, world! I am so excited to start my first website and publish my first blog post! I am currently a student in my junior year in college studying journalism with an emphasis in broadcast, so writing is one of my passions! “News by Emilyn” is something that I created through the virtual world naming all of my social media platforms (@EmilynNews). Learning about new things that go on in society is one thing that I love to stay on top of, and with that being said, I like to use my social media outlets to inform and educate my viewers on those exact topics. Now that I have started my own website, I am so excited to expand “News by Emilyn” and inform you all on topics that I am passionate about through my website and blog posts.

Working in the entertainment news field has been a dream of mine for years, and it is a goal that I am dedicated to achieve.  I’ve always known that I wanted to get into the broadcast industry, but politics, weather, and local news were never my main point of interest. My favorite aspect of entertainment news is that it is a world of its own. It is such a broad industry to cover, and being involved in the newsgathering of that feels so natural to me. I can talk and write about the day-to-day news that the entertainment industry presents to the world for hours at a time. It is a world that creates trends, and that is what I love the most about it. Trends that come from celebrities who are being looked up to as trendsetters and influencers in society. I hope to do the same by creating a world of my own through my website and blog posts, by not only captivating my readers, but by engaging with them on topics that I feel are relevant to society.
