Story Package Progress

With the first rough draft and visuals deadline approaching, my progress on my story package project has been progressing. I had the pleasure of interviewing one of my sources on March 8 who is an Instagram blogger/influencer, and I am meeting with another Instagram blogger/influencer this Friday, March 22, who happens to be a professional tennis player as well. Meeting with my first source a couple of weeks ago opened my eyes to more ideas and I think that is all part of this process. Meeting with our sources to learn more ideas that we can add on to our story idea and story package all together. My multimedia will consist of each of my sources saying one sentence describing what they use their platform for. Basically who they influence and why are they considered influencers. Each source’s sentence is about ten seconds long of video, and I am going to collage them all together to show the diversity in the social media world.

I also have another interview scheduled for this Thursday, March 21, but instead of with a blogger/influencer, I am meeting with a local café owner who uses Instagram as one of their main marketing sources. The café is called S3 Coffee Bar, and I chose them to interview because their social media platform is very aesthetically pleasing, and that is what drove me into their café for the first time a year ago. Also, I have noticed their following increasing a lot over the past few months so I plan to sit down with the owner and hear her input on that. I have written out questions that I plan to ask her during our interview this coming Thursday, and the questions that I am asking her are way different to the questions that I asked/will ask the bloggers and influencers, because speaking to a café owner about their marketing tactics is a whole different angle than speaking with actual bloggers/influencer. I am looking forward to produce my first draft for next Monday, and I am really enjoying the progress of my project.
